kNOw Limits Foundation (“kNOw Limits,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an Arizona nonprofit corporation and federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through theknowlimitsfoundation.org (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you when you interact with the Site, including when you:
- Submit an interest form for MasterCraft, Limitless Pathway Academy, or Future Ready Workshops
- Apply to volunteer or apply for a seat on our Board of Directors
- Contact us through our Contact Us form
- Make a donation through Givebutter, our third-party donation processor
- Subscribe to updates or sign up for an event
Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, phone number, age or grade level, school, parent/guardian contact information (for minors), program interest, volunteer availability, and any message or details you choose to share.
We also automatically collect limited technical information when you browse the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, typically through standard web server logs and analytics tools.
Third-Party Services We Use
To operate our programs and accept donations, we rely on the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy governing the information they collect on our behalf:
- Google Forms: used for program interest forms (Limitless Pathway Academy, Volunteer interest)
- Jotform: used for our Board of Directors application
- WPForms: used for our on-site Contact Us form, hosted directly on this WordPress site
- Givebutter: used to securely process one-time and recurring donations. We do not collect or store your payment card information; Givebutter handles all payment processing directly
We encourage you to review each provider’s own privacy policy before submitting information through their forms.
How We Use Your Information
- To process program applications and communicate with applicants, students, and families
- To coordinate volunteer placements and Board applications, including required background checks and fingerprint clearance verification (Arizona Revised Statutes § 41-1758.07) for anyone with direct youth contact
- To process donations and send donation receipts
- To respond to inquiries submitted through our Contact Us form
- To send program updates, event announcements, and fundraising communications, where you have opted in
- To maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Information About Minors
Our programs primarily serve high school-age students and young adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. Where a program application or activity involves a participant under 18, we require a parent or legal guardian to review and, where applicable, co-submit the relevant form and sign any required liability waiver. If we learn that a child under 13 has submitted personal information without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
Consistent with Arizona’s mandatory reporting law (ARS § 13-3620), any information suggesting a risk of abuse or neglect will be handled in accordance with our internal Youth Protection Policy and applicable law, which may require disclosure to appropriate authorities.
Cookies and Analytics
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use the Site. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality.
Data Retention
We retain program, volunteer, Board application, and donor information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations, and support program evaluation and grant reporting. Aggregate, de-identified program outcome data may be retained indefinitely for reporting and continuous improvement purposes.
Your Choices and Rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe from our email communications, by contacting us using the information below. We will respond within a reasonable time and consistent with our legal recordkeeping obligations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. The “Effective date” above will reflect the most recent revision.
